CTMUN Experience

CTMUN stands for Central Texas Model United Nations. First of all, Model United Nations (MUN) is when schools worldwide would take a select number of students or delegates to a certain conference. Within these conferences incudes numerous committees filled with students that are eager to learn and discuss about world issues. This fall of 2024, I was able to attend CTMUN Fall and it was an exciting yet intimidating experience as this was my first-ever conference.

Through researching and writing my position paper I was able to learn many skills that would make my writing better so I am able to convey message effectively. The conversations within CTMUN were very fast-paced as this is a competition between schools. It was intense at times, as I wasn't getting called on to speak or even other participants not giving me a chance to speak I was still able to make an invaluable experience. Overall, CTMUN helped me enormously with my speaking skills and having better collaboration skills to solve an issue.
