HAMUN took place near my school at the University of Houston. Even though it was in the middle of the week with a lot of academic stress, I was still able to pull through as I wasn't as nervous and anxious due to it being my second conference. This time, I felt more confident in my ability to speak, debate, and collaborate with other delegates, which made the experience much more enjoyable. I felt like in this conference, my arguments were stronger and I recruited more delegates to form a block, building stronger alliances, and actively contributed to resolutions without the same level of hesitation I had in my first conference. Despite the pressure of balancing schoolwork and MUN, I felt the HAMUN conference was a great opportunity to push myself, grow as a delegate, and further develop my diplomacy and overall communication skills.
